- 1975 Moves to Canada and becomes professor of psychiatry at
University of Toronto
- 1981 Moves to Calgary and becomes professor of psychiatry at
University of Calgary
- 1983 His book "Basic Child Psychiatry" published
- 1985 Files complaint with police for following him in the middle of
the night while he drove around with a woman (whom the police claimed they
followed because she had a criminal record)
- 1986 His book "Basic Family Therapy" published, dedicated to "the
world's deprived and unhappy children ... and those who strive to help
families to a better life."
- 1989 Spends 2.5 months in rehab for cocaine addiction in a specialist
unit in Atlanta
- 1993 His label Jazz Focus begins producing records
- Mar 17, 1996 Allegedly drives his car into a pedestrian at a crosswalk
and breaks her leg, takes her to hospital, and leaves without leaving his
name and info
- Jun 6, 1996 Reported he has not yet shown up to court ahead of Jun 14,
1996 deadline to set a trial date on charges of failing to yield to a
pedestrian and failing to comply with duties of a driver
- Jun 1999 Retires from post at UofC and as head of psychiatry at
Alberta Children's Hospital
- Aug 1999 16-year-old patient tells police she witnessed him solicit a
prostitute, police sting begins

with trafficking of narcotics for selling 1.5 grams of crack cocaine to
